Laminated Round Log

The laminated log combines within itself all the qualities of chinked laminated squared log with the charm of the round forms of traditional massive logs. The laminated round log is as durable as stone, and, at the same time, has all the ecological properties of timber.

The laminated round log is a gift for those who like the appearance of the perfectly even round log but, at the same time, are unsatisfied by its technical characteristics. In a similar way to the laminated squared log, the laminated round log is manufactured by gluing a few (from two to eight) pieces to a log which has been previously sawn. Gluing is done in a special hydraulic press by using durable, ecologically clean glue that does not destroy the infiltrating capabilities of the timber. Houses built from this material are in harmony with nature and transfer this harmony to its inhabitants.

The main advantage of laminated round logs:

  • It does not change its form during handling and it almost never cracks;
  • It has a higher level of durability than usual timber due to the special process of gluing;
  • It has a smaller heat conductivity than stone and concrete constructions;
  • It has minimal shrinkage which is predictable, at only 1-2 percentage points per sq m;
  • Houses made of laminated logs, which have been sawn and glued correctly, have never cracked;
  • It has a high quality of façade surfaces, where the precision of manufactured details fit together to a fraction of a millimeter;
  • The wall appears monolithic and does not require extra decoration;
  • The corner connections are exact, and therefore have a high level of heat and moisture insulation;
  • It cuts down on building time;
  • The quantity of pieces in laminated log is down to the wishes of the client.
